Well, the first week with the students is almost over (they are outside at recess)... It's been a fairly successful week. I think my class is going to be a good one, I hope so anyway. Speaking of, I hear them in the hallway! More to come!

First Day back

Today was my first day back to school. The first day is always kind of fun. You get to see everyone that you haven't seen all summer... catch up. It's usually pretty busy. Today was anyway. We had a meeting that lasted all morning, a catered lunch and the afternoon was pretty much on our own.

I have an intern this year, she seems very sweet. It was a bit unnerving at first, trying to decide what to do myself, much less tell someone else. But, I found somethings for her to do and it's been very beneficial to me. Normally, I bring lots of stuff to do home (cut out laminating, glue stuff, etc...) and I had her do a lot of it today... so.... that was really nice.

I always get sad the first week back. I think about how wonderful my class was last year and I am sad that they won't be returning. Hear's to hoping that this new class is just as good. :D
